Dan returned to UWE as a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance in October 2020 after graduating with a 1st class degree in Economics from the University in 2011. After graduating, Dan joined the graduate scheme at Airbus and spent two years working in various functions of the business which included a 6-month stint in the South of France at the Airbus headquarters. Upon completion of the Airbus graduate scheme Dan was offered a position in controlling and put through his CIMA exams. Since then, he has worked in various finance departments around the business (including cost accounting and CapEx controlling) and obtained his full accountancy qualifications (CGMA) in January 2019 with all first time passes.

Dan re-joined UWE in order to fulfil a lifelong ambition to teach. Dan achieved his Fellowship of the HEA by completeing the UWE PGCAPP course in 2022 which he passed with distinction. With a wealth of experience in business, Dan's hope is that he can help educate the next generation of finance professionals as not just technically capable individuals but also help nurture them into excellent employees that will help shape the future of our ever-changing world.

Dan has recently been appointed as Associate Director for Accounting and Finance and is proud to be leading an excellent group of Accounting and Finance Academics.

Originally from Slough, in the southeast of the UK, Dan moved to Bristol for university in 2007 where he met his now wife and has lived happily ever since. He is a keen sportsman and plays football for an FA affiliated team, he's also a keen golfer and can often be found donning cricket whites in the summer.
