About me
I am the Associate Director for Building and Construction Management with responsibility for the overall management of the Building Surveying and Construction Project Management subject area.
Having joined UWE in 2008 as a senior lecturer I have prior to this an extensive number of years working in industry with experience of surveying and construction in both residential and commercial buildings.
Awarded teacher of the year 2015.
I have previously been an External Examiner for the University of South Wales
Area of expertise
Initially I trained as a carpenter/joiner and developed considerable experience within the construction industry, progressing into management and surveying roles at a senior level.
I have particular interest in Retro fit , refurbishment, maintenance and facilities management as well as Computer Aided Design and building information modelling as well as Fire safety.
