About me
Dominic worked for over 35 years in major contracting before setting up his own consultancy practice earlier this year. After starting his career as a Quantity Surveyor (including completing a BSc (Hons) at London South Bank University), his career changed direction significantly following the release of 2 game changing publications in the 1990’s by Egan & Latham. This led to contractors becoming more than builders and having to adapt to take on the lead design role and taking direct responsibility for the design of buildings. Coupled with changes in procurement practices and the rise of frameworks, Dominic was at the forefront of this change of working practices in the industry. Experience includes leading frameworks and delivering projects in the Health, Education, University, Custodial, Local Authorities & Defence sectors. In addition to this, Dominic has worked in the Commercial sector directly at Temple Quay, Bristol & with SEGRO at Slough Estates. Dominic has been an External Examiner at UWE since 2018 and is the current Vice Chair of the Forum for the Built Environment (FBE) Great Western Branch.
