About me

Dorcas trained in Fine Art at Winchester School of Art and works as a sculptor based in Jamaica Street Studios in Bristol. She has exhibited her work internationally and is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors, having been awarded a bursary from them in 2013. She won the Public Speaks Award in the Broomhill National Sculpture Prize and her work features in the book The Language of Mixed Media Sculpture published in 2014. She has exhibited her work at Banksy's Dismaland in Weston-Super-Mare and has performed with her costumes at Glastonbury Festival and Hauser and Wirth Somerset. She recently worked as lead artist for the national participatory arts project PROCESSIONS.

Area of expertise

Dorcas' areas of expertise are casting, sculpture and making three dimensional objects with materials including plaster, silicone, alginate, wax, Jesmonite, pewter, resin, concrete, latex, fabric, clay, polymorph, polymer clay, wire, metal powders and pigments.

Her usual work pattern at UWE is Monday and Tuesday.
