About me
Ella Barclay is a PhD student and Associate Lecturer in Sociology at UWE. Ella has a background in migration studies, specifically focusing on healthcare rights in the UK's hostile environment. Her research interests include reproductive justice, migrant rights, the accessibility of healthcare, maternal wellbeing and feminist research methods.
Her doctoral project is titled: "Making migrant mothers: An ethnographic exploration of the journey into motherhood for undocumented migrant women in the UK's hostile environment".
This project is supervised by Dr Michal Nahman, Dr Stuart McClean and Dr Sheelagh McGuinness.
