About me
Emma is a Research Associate based at the Centre for Appearance Research. She works within the VTCT Foundation Programme of Research, which focuses on developing psychosocial support for people impacted by visible differences.
Emma also has experience working within the charity sector with adults with learning disabilities and complex mental health, as well as in the NHS delivering behaviour change interventions to people smoking during pregnancy.
Emma is currently completing her Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology at UWE and her thesis is focused on the lived experiences of LGBTQIA+ young people with visible differences.
Emma is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society.
