About me

Dr. Emmanuel Adu-Ameyaw is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the Bristol Business School, UWE, Bristol. Emmanuel's educational background includes a PhD in Finance from the Liverpool Business School, complemented by two master's degrees: MSc Finance & Investment (Leicester Business School, Leicester) and MSc in Finance (Coventry Business School, Coventry) in the UK. He also holds a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Ghana.

Emmanuel is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and serves as the chair of the Governance and Accountability Research seminar Group (GARG) within the A&F department, UWE.

His academic pursuits and research encompass a wide spectrum, including corporate finance, investment management, international financial management, compensations, sustainable financing, and corporate governance. Specifically, his ongoing research focuses on corporate risk-taking activities, managerial compensation, sustainable financing, corporate-level political risks and corporate governance practices. He has published extensively in some leading academic journals within these domains. Emmanuel is also an active reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals and currently welcomes PhD candidates who share his research interests.
