About me

Fabio D’Agnano is an architect with specialisms in the fields of 3D design and digital manufacturing.

Fabio D'Agnano is part of the CFPR Centre for Prints Research at the University of West of England, UWE, Bristol, as an Associate Professor as part of Expanding Excellence in England (E3) Fund in October 2019.

The main strands of his , research are artificial intelligence & robotics for Art, and augmented 3d printed tactile surfaces for inclusion.

He taught for more than years (2009-2021) at the Iuav Architecture University of Venice, focusing on 3D modeling, deepened 3D printing and electronic prototyping. In 2011, he founded the postgraduate master's course in Digital Architecture, which has been fully subscribed each year since its inception. The course thoroughly prepares its students for the architecture profession, with its graduates going on to work in companies and on projects at the forefront of 3D design all over the world. In addition to his experience in design and 3D modeling, he also has experience in design, electronic prototyping, 3D printing, coding and digital craftsmanship – both in practice and in teaching. He is particularly interested in new teaching methods and serves as a consultant to the Italian Ministry of Education in the field of digital manufacturing in higher education, using the Design Thinking method.
Alongside his academic career to date, D’Agnano also directed an architectural practice in which teams of up to 10 people carried out various large-scale projects and won international competitions. http://www.studioglass.it/
