About me

I have joined UWE this year as part of the Library Team and most recently as an Inclusive Practice Officer for EDI.

In the past, I have worked with a number of Third Sector organisations and local authorities as a Trainer/Facilitator and in project management roles, across different countries. I coordinated and led on initiatives to prevent and tackle Violence against women and girls and to promote Sexual and Reproductive rights. I worked as a training facilitator with young people in formal and non-formal educational settings and with Education and Health Practitioners, with particular focus on the prevention of abusive relationships and gender stereotypes.

My personal and professional interests are around feminisms, race, intersectionality, cultural and social construction of identities.

I am the mum of two young and very lively children, who contributed enormously to shift my identity as a person and make me questioning my views.

Area of expertise

Gender issues, race and racism, intercultural awareness, teaching and training
