About me

I define myself as an explorer, educator, and lifelong learner with the aim of transforming education. An experienced, versatile, and resourceful strategy/international business academic with experience in leadership and management, research, and innovative teaching excellence. With a rich background in international contexts, I possess a rarely deep understanding of the profound influence of institutional dynamics on higher education.

I hold a PgCert in Academic Practice, an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering, an MBA degree with a specialization in Strategy, Project Management, and Economics, and a PhD in Strategic Management. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have been fortunate to study/work at the University of Split (Croatia), University of Siena (Italy), Universita per Stranieri di Siena (Italy), Kemmy Business School (Ireland), Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Technical University of Madrid (Spain), Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden), the University of Manchester (United Kingdom), and Coventry University (United Kingdom). These experiences have honed my ability to cultivate high-value networks that span functions, departments, universities, and academic communities.

In recognition of my dedication to academia, I have been honored twice with the prestigious Erasmus Mundus (Marie Curie) Fellowship. Furthermore, during my PhD studies centered around partnerships and alliances, I received five Best Paper Awards from the leading management associations.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring topics related to history (I consider myself an amateur historian), geopolitics, philosophy, psychology, personal development, and health.

Area of expertise

My unwavering passion lies in advocating for collaborative and digital economies, both of which hold transformative potential in reshaping our lives and workplaces. I am deeply invested in exploring how these trends can influence the landscape of management education and practice.

My work can broadly be divided into three streams:

> Collaborations (alliances, networks, business ecosystems),

>Digital transformation (digital strategy, digital ecosystems),

>Education 4.0 (Business Simulations, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence).

My commitment to academic excellence and my ambition to shape the future of management education and practice drives me to continually explore, innovate, and contribute to the ever-evolving academic landscape.
