About me

Gunter's main academic interest lies in the interaction between political and economic institutions for the purpose of social problem solving. He also continues to apply interdisciplinary case-study methodology in diverse teaching environments. Prior to this he was a researcher at Nuffield College examining policy making among political executives in Western Europe and taught comparative political economy at the University of Warwick. From 2004 to 2006 Gunter served as a residential fellow at the I.I. Mechnikov University in Odessa and at the Ivan Franko University in Lviv, Ukraine. More recently, he has been a consultant for UNDP, the Open Society Institute and the Centre for European Studies at Yerevan State University. Gunter is a member of the international advisory boards for the Rivista Italiana di Scienza Politica (RISP), Public Policy and Economic Development, and Naukovi Praci. Several of his interviews and commentaries on current political affairs can be found at NEWS.am and e-IR.
