About me

As a performer, maker and director I have a history of performance practice over 20 years both in live and digital performance.

My current practice focuses on directing and developing live performance, across a range of disciplines and contexts including movement-centric, adaptation, digital theatre formats, and collaborative and inter-disciplinary practices.

Previous works;

-               Artistic director of PINCH, a cross-disciplinary collaboration (a dancer and actor) that explored the nature of dialogue between performers and spectator. ( (Theatre, 2011-2015).  PINCH was supported by Arts Council England, Bristol old Vic Ferment, Theatre Bristol and The Place, London.

-              Still Life (Arnolfini, July 2022) – was a collaboration with Fine Art, Illustration and drama students resulting in a performance, sound score and exhibition of visual responses from drawers and audience members alike.

-              I Directed a full-scale external production with UWE Drama students, of Harold Pinter’s ‘Party Time’ in Dec, 2023, incorporating digital theatre techniques and devices.

-              Angela Carter – Theatre Walk (Walk, 2024) a collaborative, site responsive promenade Theatre-walk was a collaboration between UWE Drama, UWE English Literature and the Angela Carter Society (Amanda Penlington, Charlotte Crofts, Caleb Ferrari, Marie Mulvey-Roberts. )

-       'Noman's Land'.  A collaboration with  Dr. Fahrudin Salihbegovic, Bristol Beacon musicians, Bristol City College refugee students and UWE drama students.  performed Bristol Beacon Lantern Hall,  July 2025 as part of the Bristol Refugee Festival (Beacon, 2025).

-              My teaching practice across all Levels facilitates, directs and leads movement-centric devised theatre development, collaborative and devising practices, ensemble training and actor training methodology.

My research interests are in Embodied Performance Practices, within live contexts and how, as these become increasingly incorporated into the digitised cultural landscape; can be (re)-remembered and reimagined as vital and radical routes to interconnection.

I am currently exploring the role of contact/touch, immersion and sensorial connection in contemporary performance practices.

I am interested in practice-led collaborations across disciplines.
