About me
Research:
My research focuses on organisational space, artefacts, and the materiality of work. I have expertise in qualitative research methods including visual methodologies, specifically, participant-led photography. I have led research projects with organisations such as Stride Treglown and ISG, the Environment Agency, Bristol, the NHS North Bristol Trust, and a wide variety of Hair and Beauty Salons across the UK. My research has industry and academic impact and has been published in journals including Human Relations, Organizational Research Methods, Management Learning and the International Journal of Work, Organisation and Emotion. My work is internationally recognised at the highest level, having won Paper of the Year 2015 in Human Relations. I have been interviewed by and written for press, including BBC Radio 4.
I am currently Co-PI on a funded research project with Stuart McClean and Gemma Pike (HAS) and Charlotte von Bulow (FBL). Our research is titled: Investigating the lived experience of post-pandemic hybrid working environments and the promotion of inclusive and resilience spaces.
I am currently Co-I on a BAM/ SAMS funded project with Gareth Edwards, Doris Schedlitzki (London Met.), and Sylwia Ciuk (Oxford Brookes). Our project it titled: Leadership, Language and Visual Interpretation.
