About me

Jane is dual qualified as a Chartered Health Psychologist (registerd with the HCPC) and a registered Public Health Specialist (Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health). She leads the UWE contribution to the HIT around sexual health research and is a member of the Public Health and Wellbeing Research Group and the Psychological Sciences Research Group.  She teaches on both the Masters and Professional Doctorates in Health Psychology,  supervising a number of doctoral students in both the Department of Health and Social Science (HSS), Bristol Business School (​​BBS) and the Faculty of Environment and Technology (FET). 


Her research spans  disciplines including work around evidence building (systematic review), evidence into practice, health behaviour change and psychologically informed prevention work. She leads on sexual health, sexual + reproductive rights/violence and PPI (Patient and Public Involvement). She also contributes to the NHS ethics committee and acts as a national evaluation expert and is a key collaborator with Univeristy Hospital Bristol's new regional sexual health service (UNITY).
