Dr Jenny Chen

I am a Senior Lecturer in HRM and a member of the Human Resources, Work and Employment (HRWE) Research Group. I received my PhD from the University of Mancester. My research investigates employee experiences in contemporary workplaces, focusing on organizational socialization, identity construction, creativiy and innovation, career transition, employee engagement and cross-cultural management. By integrating HR Analytics and Organizational Psychology, I develop evidence-based insights that inform organizational practices. I have published my work in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals.

 

Currently, I am exploring the cognitive, relational and identity-based challenges newcomers face as they navigate and innovate during complex role transition. My research seeks to advance theoretical understanding while equipping organizations to create more effective and inclusive environment and practices.
