About me
I am a Research Associate with a particular focus on chronic pain management. My experience spans numerous research projects employing various methodologies. Notable projects include a feasibility RCT of the fibromyalgia self-management programme in a community setting (FALCON), the development of a Sensory Training System (STS) for home use by individuals with persistent limb pain, and the optimisation of CRPS management to enhance clinical outcomes throughout the therapy care pathway (ENACT). I have also been involved in other projects relating to pre-hospital care and workforce development.
In addition to my role as a Research Associate, I am pursuing a PhD that explores factors associated with patients being active partners in the management of fibromyalgia. Furthermore, I am actively involved in the running of the Community for Allied Health Professions Research in the South West Region.
Area of expertise
While my experience is primarily qualitative research, I am increasingly incorporating mixed methods approaches.
