About me
I studied Architecture at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) in the Dominican Republic and hold an MSC in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and a PhD in BIM implementation from the University of Wolverhampton. I have ten years of experience in architectural design and Urban planning and have been involved in teaching and research for the last six years.
I am currently a Senior lecturer in Architecture and Construction Technology and Co-Programme leader of the MSC BIM in Design, Construction and Operations at UWE Bristol.
I am passionate about using technology and innovation to design, create and manage a more efficient and sustainable built environment. My research expertise includes BIM implementation strategies, BIM education and the implementation of BIM in developing countries. I am currently researching the use of Virtual Reality and digital twins for disaster scenarios. Other research interests include the implementation of BIM and digital technologies to enhance and promote the uptake of Modern Methods of Construction.
