About me
After a career as a teacher, including 23 years as a head teacher I joined UWE in September 2021.
I work closely both with the academic team as well as the school student placement team. My remit is to line manage the education team and visit schools to develop long term placement partnerships with the university.
Area of expertise
Main area of expertise is Education. Up to date understanding of educational practice and management of schools.
Also CAVA qualified (Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement) - able to help learners acquire qualifications eg apprenticeships, HNDs etc by providing them with guidance and support and by gathering evidence and performing assessments.
Current role is to manage the school placement team, supporting and making sure we have enough offers to for our teacher training students.
