About me
I am a Dispensing Optician and Optometrist qualified in Germany in 1996 (DO) and 2000 (Dipl-Ing. (FH) Augenoptik). After working as an Assistant lecturer at Aalen University in the subjects of geometrical and physical Optics and contact lens fitting for five years I took a post as productmanager in the field of ophthalmic devices/ medical instruments in Luebeck/Germany before working as Optometrist and research coordinator in hospitals for about 7 years. In 2016 I moved to Birmingham to do my PhD in the area of ocular hemodynamics at Aston University. I was appointed Senior Lecturer in the Department of Optometry at UWE in September 2019.
