About me
As Director of Learning and Teaching I hold a key leadership role as part of the School of Health and Social Wellbeing’s executive team contributing to the development and implementation of strategy and operational plans to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key objectives of the Directorship are to embed the university values and implement plans for enhancing learning and teaching, including developing curricula, promoting good practice and contributing to policy development. Actively contributing to the development of our values and building a positive culture of pedagogical scholarship,
I am dedicated to supporting staff development and student experience which enables consistent and coherent programme management, embedding social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) and aligning activities with values and positive culture. These efforts are facilitated through people management responsibilities, working across diverse leadership teams, and contributing to values-based training across the institution.
My academic career path has been a carefully considered and deliberate choice, through which I hope to make a positive contribution to society, not least through empowering others to do the same.
