About me

I describe myself as a painter, although I work with a variety of media and often collaborate. However I am comfortable with painting as a starting point, combining a complex history of ideas with an ever-present, cheap and immediate sense of the possibility of re-invention, a site of radical possibility. My ideas concern planes and the two-dimensional even when working with dancers or with text. My works are entangled with each other rather than specifically linked. A group of paintings will share the same originary thoughts as a piece of writing, but they will exist independently of each other.
Recently I have ben particularly interested in the borderline of image/text. 

I have shown works and performances nationally and internationally and have published two books of experimental fiction (Ice Cream Empire and Mutter) with Book Works

I have frequently collaborated- with other artists, writers, dancers and musicians.
