About me

I am an Experienced Learning Technologist in the Library, Careers and Inclusivity department at UWE, Bristol

I have a degree in digital media, a masters degree in video production and a teaching qualification which I obtained while teaching in the further education sector. I also achieved my CMALT certification with video production specialism in 2020.

I facilitate a variety of workshops and programmes of development for both students and staff, focusing on the use of technology in student academic development and developing digital capabilities.

I co lead a university wide generative AI Literacy programme open to all students and staff at UWE. This programme covers appropriate use of AI from a study skills perspective, UWE’s stance on generative AI, academic integrity, effective prompt writing and brings awareness to the ethical concerns and limitations of generative AI.

I deliver tailored sessions to student cohorts within undergraduate and postgraduate modules, including workshops exploring digital capabilities on the Information Literacy MA and practical workshops demonstrating creative tools and outlining best practice for academic posters on the Project Management MA and Policing degrees.

I also manage and co-create a large set of online academic, career and study skills workbooks and collaborate with staff to produce interactive learning objects for the service.

I also lead on video production for the department, working with staff to produce scripts, film and edit a wide range of video and multimedia content, including talking heads, introductions, demonstrations, motion graphics and branched scenario videos.
