About me

I am a Senior Lecturer specifically teaching research methods on the undergraduate Physiotherapy programme. I also work two days a week as a Research Fellow on Freehab, a project that aims to design soft, wearable robotic devices that aid people with impaired mobility. I have experienced a breadth of physiotherapy research, including working with a neurological population to develop an assistive device, and examining service delivery, the processes behind inter-disciplinary working and the design of patient-centred interventions in my First Contact Physiotherapy research. I have particular skill sets in qualitative research, co-design methods, and biomechanical data collection. I take great joy in incorporating my research and clinical experience into my teaching. Other interests of mine include Functional Neurological Disorders (FND), and I hope to carry out leading research within the FND field in the future.

Area of expertise

Biomechanics, qualitative methods, First Contact Practitioner role, Advanced Practitioner role, Primary Care, Realist Evaluation
