About me
Dr. Chi received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland (UMD) at College Park. He is a helicopter private pilot. He participated in the Mars Science Helicopter (MSH) project proposed by NASA and JPL and helped design the structure of the MSH rotor which was documented in a NASA Technical Memorandum. Now he continues his academic career at the University of the West of England, aiming to improve the efficiency, safety, and comfortability of vertical flight via the development and application of novel experimental and theoretical methodologies.
Area of expertise
Rotor Aeromechanics; Planetary Aerial Vehicle; Experimental Aeronautics
