About me
My research focuses on young people's repsonses to the climate crisis and the implications for education. I am interested in young people's agency and how the youth perspective can be centred as we consider new pedagogies for a changing world.
I am a secondary school maths teacher by training. I take a Freirean perspective on education and my work seeks to frame cliamte change education through the lens of social justice. I seek to contribute to the emergent field of climate justice education.
I currently work on the CCC-CATAPULT project here at UWE. I also work on the Climate Justice Education Research Network which is a GW4 initiative. I am a co-convenor of the BERA SiG in Education for Environmental Sustainability.
