About me

Qualified PGCTHE Teacher and practitioner, with over 24 years of higher education teaching, with on going professional practice. Industry experience gained as a camera operator within mainstream television and film. Keen cinematographer and still learning something new every day. Very happy to work within the true expression of film, being celluloid production. My past time interests run to maintaining my vintage Vespas and Lambrettas plus riding my Harley Davidson. Oh and some serious film watching.

Area of expertise

Teaching both practice and theories of film making. Area of taught expertise includes Film History, Genre and Theory. Practical engagement includes Camera operation (using broadcast and film standard cameras and cinema lenses) , lighting (studio and location), storyboarding, editing (using the Adobe CC package ) directing and producing. Super 8 film expert, in shooting, processing and projection. I have a large array of celluloid film equipment, including super 8 and 16mm. I am always happy to assist students who wish to explore celluloid film making.I have worked in the film and television industry and am versed in the pratice protocols used.
