About me
I work closely with academic colleagues to design and deliver embedded sessions on academic skills that help students understand higher education expectations and develop into confident, critical and independent learners.
As International Learning Developer for the College of Health, Science and Society, I also support students who are new to studying or living in the UK, or use English as an additional language, through pre-sessional courses, Summer Schools, and tailored support such as drop-ins, one-to-one consultations and workshops.
As part of my secondment role as Senior Learning Developer, I contribute to, and lead on, teaching development.
I hold an MA(Hons) in Russian, Central and East European Studies (University of Glasgow), an MSc in Information and Library Studies (University of Strathclyde), a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education (UWE Bristol), and a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (Cambridge CELTA).
I am a CILIP Chartered librarian and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
My professional interests include assessment and feedback literacy, inclusive assessment design and practice, and multilingualism.
