About me
I attended what has since become the Filmmaking course in 2010-13 and since then have had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of productions from commercials, HETV and films to music videos, promotional content, documentaries, theatre and live events and I love finding creative solutions to technical challenges.
I began my career working as a lighting cameraman and an AC as well as making short independent films.
I then transitioned into the lighting department as spark and now also work as a commercial gaffer.
A unique aspect of my camera experience has been in filming for creative events and clients including circus performers, theatre groups, festivals, musicians and artists.
I have attended training with manufacturers such as ARRI and in software such as DaVinci which means I have a good understanding of both production and post demands and how they can affect on-set processes.
I enjoy working with junior crew and helping young people into the industry, I have worked for Its My Shout, a scheme in Wales encouraging young people into filmmaking and often work on BFI shorts and other such productions giving rising filmmakers opportunities.
I am also a member of the BECTU union
