About me

I am the Area Co-ordinator of the Digital Fabrication department.


The Digital Fabrication department supports students in the school of Arts and more broadly CATE. We teach software skills and train students in using the range of equipment within the department.

Trained in Interdisciplinary Design, my background has given me the opportinuty to produce work on a wide variety of scales and uses. I explore surface, form, pattern and technology, mixing this with both new and traditional making techniques.

Area of expertise

Michelle's​ areas of expertise are;

Laser cutting and file creation in Adobe Illustrator​ & Photoshop

3D scanning + software and how it links to other making processes

3D printing - filament and resin

3D file creation - Rhino, Meshmixer, Pepakura

CNC Machining and file creation

VR - drawing, design and making

 

My usual working pattern is Tuesday - Thursday, please reference this when making a booking.

The Coordinator will book an initial consultation where you can explore your initial ideas. From this meeting you will be booked into training sessions specifically for your projects needs, developing your skill so you can become a pro!
