About me
Mike has over 20 years of experience of working and researching in the voluntary and statutory community sector. He has a strong theoretical interest in early Pragmatism (circa 1900s) and how these principles and research methods can be applied to deepen our understanding of contemporary experiences of community-based and other types of health and social care interventions.
Area of expertise
Mike continues to apply and develop innovative mixed methods approaches to service evaluations and, to date, has successfully completed reviews of practice in areas as diverse as, dementia services, homeless drop-ins and community psychiatric services. He has a vehement interest in using pragmatic, participatory principles, as well as appropriate training and support mechanisms, to place 'expert by experience' authentically at the centre of health service provision evaluations.
