About me
Paul is College Manager in the College of Arts, Technology and Environment at the University of the West of England. Arriving in Higher Education from a Life & Pensions background, he has been able to apply his strengths in business analysis and process design to the University setting.
During his time at the University, he has worked in a variety of leadership roles, aligned to supporting the academic endeavour, each with a focus on effective working across the different communities within the organisation.
Paul takes a people centric approach in his working life, valuing listening, empathy and understanding as key activities that build trust and thereby enable the delivery of beneficial outcomes. He has developed a 'coaching approach' which focuses on development of leadership skills in others and realisation of potential.
Outside work, Paul is a keen if somewhat injury prone footballer, although playing against much younger opponents, including my son, may precipitate 'early' retirement from the game…
