Area of expertise
Her research explores how wealth inequality is presented in the media. Philippa has explored how extreme wealth is presented in entertainment documentaries about the super-rich. She is interested in how people account for practices such as inheritance and tax avoidance that impede social mobility.
Philippa is a British Psychological Society (BPS) Chartered Psychologist. She is a committee member of the BPS Qualitative Methods in Psychology and Social Psychology sections.
Philippa would welcome enquiries from potential PhD students who are interested in using Discursive Psychology to explore wealth inequality.
