About me
Promise D. Nukah is an accomplished structural engineer and researcher with over 15 years of experience in the civil and structural engineering practice. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Rivers State University, Nigeria in 2006, where he later pursued and completed a master’s degree in Structural Engineering in 2018. His academic journey is now advancing towards a Ph.D., where he is deeply engaged in pioneering research focused on Reducing embodied carbon in geotechnical structures using machine learning and artificial intelligence in the University of the West of England, Bristol United Kingdom.
Throughout his extensive career, Promise has demonstrated a profound expertise in teaching both in colleges and the universities, structural design and construction, working across various sectors, including consultancy services, project management, and public procurement for goods, work and services for both the public and private sector. His experience also extends to planning engineering within the oil and gas industry, where he has made significant contributions over the decades.
Promise is passionate about creating a safe, carbon-free built environment through research and innovation. His commitment to sustainability and technological advancement drives his ongoing research, as he seeks to blend traditional engineering practices with cutting-edge technology to achieve more sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

He is a graduate member of the institute of structural engineers (ISTRUCTE, UK), Corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers(NSE), Registered member of the Council for the regulation of Engineering in Nigeria(COREN).
