About me
Rakesh is a Lecturer in Civil Engineering, having obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He also holds a master's degree in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras, India.
His primary research interests center around construction materials, with a specific focus on the durability and service life prediction of reinforced concrete structures. Rakesh is recognized as a fellow of Advance HE, highlighting his distinction in the field of civil engineering education.
Before joining the University of the West of England, Rakesh served as an Assistant Lecturer at Coventry University in the UK. He has also made significant contributions to the academic landscape in South Africa as a Lecturer in Civil Engineering. Currently, Rakesh also serves as a visiting Lecturer at University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, further expanding his impact in the academic community.
