About me
I am the Deputy Resourcing Manager within HR, with specific responsibility for the management of the recruitment and contracting of approx 4,000 staff per year which includes temporary staff from our inhouse bank, associate lecturers, specialists and casual staff. I also have oversight of permanent and fixed term recruitment. My role includes the development of policies and procedures in relation to recruitment ensuring we support the business and managers in effective recruitment practices complying with employment law in relation to recruitment - I have a keen interest in and am a UKVI right to work specialist in relation to Skilled Worker, Government, Authorised Exchange and Global Talent visas. I have a Masters in Human Resource Management and am a qualified psychometric practitioner ensuring UWE applies the best selection techniques to its recruitment practice to recruit talented members of staff.
I am keen on the development of my team and to provide an excellent service to both managers and candidates throughout the whole recruitment cycle ensuring we meet and exceed team objectives.
I enjoy working with managers throughout the whole university and helping them to fulfil their resource gaps with advertising, contacting and payment solutions, applying innovative ideas and ensuring efficient and effective practices.
