About me
Dr Rehan Bhatti is an accomplished Academic professional with a strong background in scientific research and teaching. With over 9 years of experience in the academic field and more than 6 years in the manufacturing industry, he currently holds a Senior Lecturer position in the Product Design Engineering department at the University of West England, Bristol.
Prior to this role, Bhatti held lecturing positions at prestigious institutions including Queen Mary University of London and University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. His expertise lies in subjects related to research methods, functional materials, and technical textiles. Bhatti hold a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Queen Mary University of London (UK), a Master's degree (Research) in Advanced Materials and Technical Textiles from National Textile University (Pakistan), as well as a Bachelor of Engineering degree (Textiles) from the same institution.
Dr Bhatti has been endorsed by the Royal Academy of Engineering as an "Exceptional Promise" under the Global Talent route. Bhatti's commitment to research and teaching has established him as a valuable asset within the academic and research communities.

Dr. Bhatti's research work and expertise spans various domains including functional materials, optically driven polymers, polymer and composite processing, transparent composites, product development, stimuli-driven actuators, artificial muscles, material's characterization techniques and technical textiles.
