About me

Dr Rosamund Portus is a lecturer in Environmental Management. She is an environmental anthropologist, and current projects include 'Challenging the Climate Crisis: Children’s Agency to Tackle Policy Underpinned by Learning for Transformation', 'Nature Deficit Disorder in the Pandemic: Parental Perspectives through Multiple Crises', and 'Reading for the Climate'.

Area of expertise

Dr Rosamund Portus is an environmental anthropologist and humanities scholar whose research focuses on examining the social and cultural dimensions of environmental challenges. Her PhD examined how the decline of bees has been imagined and represented across the creative and cultural sectors. She is currently a research fellow for a project examining the role of young people in facilitating environmental action, one examining child-nature connections, and one exploring climate literature.
