About me
Ruth is a Senior technical instructor in the fashion sewing rooms at UWE, she designs and delivers sewing workshops and is on hand in open access times for individual advice on sewing techniques, garment construction and sewing machinery use.
Ruth gained a degree in Fashion and Textiles and went on to work in various settings gaining a breadth of experience within the fashion industry and in bespoke furniture upholstery, before becoming a senior technical instructor at UWE.
Ruth can be found in the Sewing rooms in the Fashion Department.
Area of expertise
Ruth's areas of expertise are; Teaching sewing, delivering workshops, garment construction, fabric sourcing advice, industrial sewing machinery.
My usual working pattern is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 9.30am - 4.30pm and Wednesday 9.30am - 5.30pm
