About me

I am a SAFTA-winning writer for TV Drama and Film, who has worked extensively as a screenwriter, head writer, script editor and consultant.

In TV, my original crime drama series, THE DOCKET, was nominated five SAFTAS, winning one. I was Head-Writer and wrote 13 x 60’ episodes for the series. In 2017 Sean won a South African Film and Television Award (SAFTA) for HIGH ROLLERS, for which we was a writer and storyliner contributing to 180 x 30’ episodes. Most recently I've written on BBC1’s CASUALTY, having received a commission from their Fresh Perspectives scheme.

For film, my’s 2019 thriller THE LAST VICTIMS, has played in numerous international festivals, winning over 20 awards. Sean’s screenplay was nominated for an African Movie Academy Award in 2019, and a South African Independent Film Festival Award in 2020. Sean’s feature VIR DIE VOËLS (For The Birds) won Best International Dramatic Feature at the 2017 Edmonton International Film Festival, and STROOMOP (The River Within) won the Grand Remi at the 2019 WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival.
