About me
I am a lecturer in computer science and a fellow of HEA. I am a deputy program leader for BSc(Hons) Computer Science, my role is student engagement and support lead.
I teach at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I am leading the Social Media and Web Science module, and co-leading the Systems Development Group Project module. I also supervise undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. projects/dissertations. I would be happy to hear from potential doctoral candidates who have interests in the above or related research areas.
I am a member of the Computer Science Research Centre. My research interest is in machine learning and data mining with a special interest in applying machine learning techniques to other disciplines such as geography; urban planning; environment; health; and well-being; I am also interested in Natural Language Processing (NLP) research, Generative AI and Social Media mining.
