About me

I am a Senior Lecturer in Digital Media in the Department of Computer Science and Creative Technologies at UWE Bristol. I studied BA Fine Art: Painting at the Glasgow School of Art, MA Communication Art & Design at the Royal College of Art and PhD Media & Arts Technology at Queen Mary University of London.

My teaching is mainly on the BSc in Digital Media and the MSc in Creative Technologies, and I am recognised as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

My research interests are driven by a desire to develop tools which enhance perception, creativity and intelligence. Recently I have been creating software (using state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methods) to enhance visual perception underwater. I was awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Early Career Researcher Development Award 2019-20.  I am a member of both the Creative Technologies Laboratory and the Computer Science Research Centre.
