About me
With over 11 years of teaching experience in accounting and finance, I am a dedicated and passionate lecturer committed to nurturing a comprehensive understanding of the subject among my students. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of guiding and inspiring students from diverse backgrounds, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the dynamic field of accounting and finance. My aim is to create an engaging and interactive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, active participation, and a genuine enthusiasm for lifelong learning.
Having taught at esteemed institutions both nationally and internationally, I have gained invaluable insights into global best practices in accounting and finance education. This exposure has enabled me to incorporate diverse perspectives into my teaching methods, equipping students with the global mindset required to thrive in today's interconnected and multicultural business landscape.
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I actively engage in research to contribute to the advancement of accounting and finance knowledge. My research interests include exploring the interconnectedness in stock markets and delving into management accounting concepts. Furthermore, I am currently serving as a Link Tutor for Villa College in the Maldives and BIBM in Colombo at UWE.
My commitment to my students' success and holistic development is unwavering. As an approachable and supportive lecturer, I encourage an inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, seek guidance, and explore their full potential. I believe that every student has unique strengths and perspectives, and I strive to tailor my teaching methods to meet their individual needs.
The modules I am currently involved in include "Understanding Business and Financial Information," "Accounting Information for Business," and "Financial Aspects for Marketing."
I am thrilled to continue making a positive impact in the lives of my students, nurturing their intellectual growth, and preparing them for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the ever-evolving world of accounting and finance.
