Miss Sophia Hurst

I am a UWE graduate and have a range of knowledge and experience in private and NHS settings. I had been working within healthcare for the last 20 years.

In my spare time I am dedicated as the proud founder of ‘Mendable’ which is an online platform and app created to support wellbeing during the pandemic.

A little unknown fact about me is that I like to write and sing songs and had a wonderful journey writing and performing music across the world.

I recently returned to UWE as a lecturer in mental health nursing, and I’m looking forward to supporting students in their journey into such a rewarding profession. I still remember what it was like to be a student, so I always encourage students to remember there is no such thing as a silly question, and this is their journey to make it as great as they dreamt it!
