About me
Dr Sunday Atuba is a Senior Lecturer in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of the West of England, Bristol. He has broad technical background and experience in analytical and numerical modelling, physics, control systems, sensors and instrumentations, robotics, cloud computing, and embedded systems.
He is a Senior fellow of the higher education academy (SFHEA), a Chartered engineer (CEng) with the institution of engineering and technology (IET). He has championed and collaborated with various industries on different engineering-based projects that revolves around energy, telecommunication, medical/biosensors, control systems and instrumentation. He has also led teams in diverse curriculum area in the higher education industry and has facilitated and led teaching and learning activities across three continents; Africa, Asia, and Europe.
His research area/interest include, sensors and instrumentation, control systems, fiber lasers, Lab-on-a-chip, solitons, spectroscopy, optoelectronics, pulse compression, nonlinear fiber optics, ultrashort pulses, computational photonics, and integrability aspects of nonlinear partial differential equations.
