About me

Type-2 Diabetes is one of the most pressing public health concerns. Treating and manageing this conditions consumes 10% of the annual NHS budget, and this is set to grow. Additionally, Type-2 Diabetes is a risk factor for developing several other diseases, including Alzheimer's Disease, various forms of cancer and Osteoarthritis. My research looks into the links between these diseases.


Outside my research activities, I am the programme leader for the Healthcare Science: Neurophysiology degree course, and contribute to multiple other taught programmes on subjects including Neurosceince, Clinical Biochemistry and Cell Signalling.
