About me

Dr Vanda Papafilippou is an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management at UWE Bristol.

Bringing together perspectives from human resource management, organisation studies, and sociology, her work explores identity and inclusive HR practices through a range of empirical contexts, including women in traditionally male-dominated professions, expatriates, social class and neurodiversity at work.

She has published in leading international journals and has secured funding from organisations including the Office for Students, the British Academy, the NHS, and IGNITEnetwork+.

Working closely with employers, professional bodies and policymakers, Vanda translates research into evidence-based approaches that support more inclusive workplaces.  In addition, she delivers executive education, consultancy and knowledge exchange activities on topics including inclusive leadership, inclusive recruitment and selection, and neuroinclusive workplaces.

Alongside her research and teaching, Vanda is also Chair of the Bristol Business School Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team and Deputy Chair of UWE Bristol's Institutional Athena Swan Self-Assessment Team, where she leads and supports evidence-informed initiatives to advance gender equality and inclusive organisational cultures within the Business School and across the University.
