About me

Dr. Zeng holds a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Newcastle University and has held academic appointments at leading institutions in the UK and China. She has extensive experience in teaching and supervision across accounting, finance, and economics, and has published widely in corporate governance and FinTech. Her work combines rigorous scholarship with innovative curriculum design and a strong commitment to student development and employability.

Area of expertise

Dr. Zeng is an accomplished academic specializing in digital, institutional, and international finance. Her interdisciplinary research integrates machine learning, financial markets, corporate governance, and business ethics, with a particular interest in how financial and innovation-driven systems operate under real-world institutional constraints.

She is especially attentive to risks of misuse, misalignment, and unintended consequences, and to how governance frameworks and institutional safeguards can be designed to support accountability without constraining economic dynamism.
