Dr. Yan Zeng earned a PhD in Accounting and Finance from Newcastle University, supported by the prestigious Overseas Research Scholarship. She has held academic roles at leading institutions in both the UK and China, including UWE, Newcastle University, Bath University, Shanghai International Studies University, and Fudan University. Throughout her career, Dr. Zeng has led modules in accounting, finance, and economics, supervised many PhD, Mphil and MBA research projects, and published widely in corporate governance and FinTech.

Committed to education, Dr. Zeng has delivered diverse teaching modules across undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA levels, while mentoring students to excel in research and professional development.  She is also dedicated to innovation in curriculum design, contributing to new financial management and FinTech programs. Her approach combines theoretical rigor with practical insights, fostering inclusivity, enhancing student employability, and bridging academia with industry.

An accomplished academic, Dr. Zeng specializes in digital, institutional, and international finance, examining how societal, cultural, and institutional factors shape financial decisions. Her interdisciplinary research integrates machine learning, financial markets, corporate governance, and business ethics, with findings published in high-impact journals and presented at international conferences.
