About me
Dr Louis Rice is Associate Professor of Architecture at UWE and former Head of the World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre for Healthy Urban Environments. Dr Rice studied Architecture at Sheffield University and then worked as an architect in practice for over a decade in London and Paris. Louis' research involves interdisciplinary collaborations examining healthier and more sustainable urban settlements by focusing on the relationship between the design of the built environment, sustainability and health. He is the author of numerous books and articles as well as presentations at international conferences on interdisciplinary research into healthy and sustainable built environments.
