About me

Research:

My academic work and experience centres around developmental psychologylogy and individual differences in well-being and socio-cultural adaptation, specially on how they can be studied within multicultural social contexts. My research projects between 2014 – 2023 have been around HE student well-being and transitions, with various foci on aspects such as extenuating circumstances, the mental health and experience of students from underepresented ethnic groups, international student experience, assessment and feedback. Currently my work is focusing on two aspects, (1) UG students’ psycho-social well-being and their sense of community during COVID-19 and online learning; and (2) well-being of students and their career aspirations and employability.

As a mixed methodologist, I have worked with quantitative and qualitative research methods in psychology and education, including mixed effects modelling, thematic analysis, and narrative analysis.

I am currently supervising PhD projects on mental health and wellbeing of minority communities.

I am an active member of the Psychological Sciences Research Group (PSRG).
